WHAT IS A CREDIT UNION?

Consumer surveys have shown that members are more satisfied with credit unions over banks and savings and loans. A credit union works for a member. Since a credit union is a not-for-profit entity, profits are returned to its members in the form of competitive loan rates, higher savings rates and low-cost or free services. As a member of Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union, your deposits are sharing in the ownership.

Board of Directors serve as volunteers and are elected by the membership. By the one-member, one-vote philosophy for the Board, members can represent their interests.

Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Association.

WHO AND HOW CAN I JOIN?

As long as you are a resident and/or work in Kankakee County Illinois, you are eligible to join Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union. Joining Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union is very simple. Just come into our Main Branch located at 1250 North Convent in Bourbonnais, fill out a membership card and deposit a minimum of $5.00. Don’t forget your photo id with your current address.

CAN I MANAGE MY ACCOUNTS ONLINE?

Yes you can.  Just enroll on our Home Banking page.  You will need your 4 digit account number and an email address.

WHAT KIND OF LOANS ARE OFFERED?

Currently, Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union offers auto loans, campers, ATV’s and boats. Signature and share secured loans are available for consolidation of bills, home improvements, vacation, school and more. Check out our rates!! 

WHAT DO I DO TO APPLY FOR A LOAN?

First, you must be a member. Then come into our Main Branch office and fill an application out. Be sure to bring in proof of income for the last 2 pay periods. (Don’t forget the co-applicant too)
