This notice is being sent to you as required by federal law.

Definitions
Throughout this notice, Armstrong Preferred Members Federal Credit Union will be referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”. “You” and “your” mean our members who have an account with us.

The term “Nonpublic personal information” means personally identifiable information that you provide us, the results of a transaction between you and us, or information that we otherwise obtain about you in connection with providing a financial product or service. Conversely, “publicly available information” is any information that we have a reasonable basis for believing is lawfully made available to the general public from government records, widely distributed media, or legally required disclosures to the general public. This includes information available in a public telephone book.

The Information That We Collect
We collect nonpublic information about you from the following sources:

• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
• Information about your transactions or experience with us, our affiliates, or others; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

Information We Disclose
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members and former members to anyone, except as permitted by law.  

Confidentiality and Security
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those who need to know that information to provide products or services to you, to credit committee members who need to know that information to approve/decline credit requests, to supervisory committee members (and their designated CPA firm), and state and/or federal regulators who review records for accuracy and compliance with multiple laws, regulations, and internal controls.
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state regulations.

Closed Account
If you decide to terminate your membership or become an inactive member we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
